People Who Thrive is a community that provides encouragement, support, and sharing-of-resources to New Yorkers going after their goals.
At every People Who Thrive gathering, a speaker talks for 10 minutes about a time in their life or their career when they asked for help, and receiving that help had a transformative impact.
Then, everyone has one minute to address the group and share their “elevator pitch,” an “ask” (something they need help with), and an “offer” (a way they can be of service to others).
When the floor is open for networking and one-on-one conversations, it’s easy to walk right up to someone you can help, someone who can help you, someone whose vision is inspiring, or someone who seems generally awesome.
We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at Fabrik:
12-16 Vestry Street, 4th floor
New York, NY 10014
Accessible via the A/C or 1 train at Canal Street

What is People Who Thrive?
People Who Thrive is a community for New Yorkers going after their goals.
New York is a vast and diverse city full of striving people, but pretty much everyone is still looking for the same thing: a sense of community.
People Who Thrive brings together New Yorkers who are working on ambitious projects and building lives of their own design and creates an “interdependent” network of people working on interesting things who ask for the help they need and are eager to support others’ progress on their own projects and dreams.
Why attend a People Who Thrive gathering?
People who thrive ask for things. But asking for help can feel anxiety-provoking and vulnerable, especially if we’ve been conditioned to be hyper-independent and self-reliant.
Gaining comfort with asking for things is a muscle that strengthens with use. People Who Thrive is a group where asking for help is heartily encouraged, building that muscle in a friendly, supportive space.
Who attends People Who Thrive gatherings?
People Who Thrive is diverse and vibrant community of New Yorkers, with professional backgrounds spanning media, marketing, startups, Big Tech, finance, fine arts, healthcare, healing arts and wellness, innovation, and higher education. Event attendees range in age from college-aged to well-established in their careers.
